Individual Therapy for Adults

Support competency based skill development for Provisional and Early Career Psychologists

Dr.Deepika provides one to one supervision for provisionally registered psychologists who are on the 5+1 or 3 month transition pathway / psychologists on the registrar program / psychologists wanting to continue to develop their clinical skills as a routine practice. Her approach to supervision is collaborative and allows for self reflection together with clinical skills completency building. Her theoretical formulations and practice are informed by approaches like cognitive behavior therapy, schema therapy, emotionally focused therapy and internal family systems. Areas addressed include:

  • Navigating self care and cultural integration for overseas trained psychologists
  • Ad-hoc support for reviewing clinical case formulation
  • Ongoing support reviewing the case load to support with therapeutic outcomes

All services at Flannel Psychology are provided within a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive framework. This means each client’s personal, cultural and social context is respected and understood.

Deepika’s experience working internationally allows her to assist clients adjusting to new environments or navigating cross-cultural relationships and workplace expectations.

Telehealth Services

Flannel Psychology offers Telehealth sessions for clients who prefer the convenience of therapy from their home or workplace. These sessions use a secure, confidential platform and are structured in the same way as in-person appointments.

Telehealth is suitable for clients living in regional or remote areas or for those balancing busy professional or family commitments.

Organize a referral

Discuss with your GP if you are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan. A valid referral can make you eligible for Medicare rebates for upto 10 sessions per calendar year. You can also attend a session without a referral if you are not claiming rebates under a Mental Health Care Plan or are not eligible for Medicare.

Sessions are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain aligned with your goals.

All sessions are 50 minutes long, with flexibility for ongoing review and feedback.
