Flannel Psychology is a private psychology practice in Gladesville, New South Wales, providing professional, evidence-based therapy for adults and couples. Founded by Dr Deepika Gupta, the practice offers clients a calm and confidential setting to explore their thoughts, emotions and life experiences with the support of a qualified clinical psychologist.

Dr Deepika Gupta has worked in Psychology for more than 17 years. She completed her Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD in Psychology in India before relocating to Australia in 2021. Her early career included roles in multi-disciplinary healthcare centres, corporate organisations and consulting firms, where she specialised in mental-health education, relationship wellbeing and workplace resilience.
After moving to Australia, she joined Google, leading their Mental Health Strategy for the Asia-Pacific region. This role deepened her understanding of psychological wellbeing in high-performing environments and highlighted the importance of accessible, personalised care.

Flannel Psychology exists to help adults and couples understand their emotions, strengthen resilience and build healthy relationships. The focus is not only on treating mental-health symptoms but also on helping clients reconnect with their sense of purpose and experience joy of living.
The practice name is inspired by the Flannel flower, native to New South Wales and recognised as a national symbol of mental-health awareness. Its gentle yet resilient nature reflects the core philosophy of the practice — strength and softness can exist together.

At Flannel Psychology, therapy is guided by the belief that genuine change begins with understanding. The process helps clients recognise how past experiences influence current patterns of thought and behaviour.
Each session is structured, confidential and outcome-focused. Deepika uses evidence-based approaches tailored to the needs of each individual or couple.
