About Me
Director & Clinical Psychologist
I feel grateful to be a part of another person’s journey of becoming. I have been practising Psychology for over 15 years across different countries and cultures. Ethnically I come from India where I completed my Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology. I relocated to Australia in the midst of the pandemic taking a chance on myself! My therapy style is hence informed by my own life experiences and I approach my clients’ lives with a curious wonder, a trauma informed and inclusive lens.
As part of my PhD, I focused on the quality of relationships and how they are often impacted by the context in which they grow. This context could be the work life, domestic life, presence and roles as parents or care givers to ageing parents amongst others. I work with couples to help communicate better, empathies more and problem solve together.
I have also worked extensively in the workplace wellbeing space. In my last role, I led mental health and wellbeing for Google across APAC. In my role, I worked in the most dynamic environment with wonderful stakeholders on workstreams like reducing imposter syndrome, preventing burnout and building psychological safety at the workplace. I bring this experience of working in a high pressure, high performance environment to the executives seeking mental health support.
I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Behavior Therapy (SFBT) to help build helpful thinking styles and relooking at how we frame our problems. I also engage clients in techniques based in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy to help dive deeper into the impact of early life experiences on the present relationships and choices. These approaches help clients gain greater insight into their patterns and triggers.
